The
White Knuckles Bluegrass Band plays a combination of traditional and
contemporary bluegrass numbers. Their range of music runs from artists such as
Bill Monroe to the Nashville Bluegrass Band. Occasionally, they will sneak in an
old country tune or even come up with a bluegrass arrangement for a Bob Dylan or
Eagles song. If you had to choose one word to characterize the White Knuckles
sound, it would be Harmony. Two, three and four-part harmonies abound in
every number. White Knuckles has played at many church and festival events around the state. In recent years, they have become quite well known for their gospel music. This group has been together for a number of years and will readily admit to being a true ‘garage’ band. However, the music they produce is far removed from a garage sound. So, sit back and listen, sing along, clap or whistle - whatever your mood dictates. Enjoy the day and good times that this music will bring. And, make sure you stop and talk to ‘the boys’ after the show.
